Kellie Martin is the American actor and director of films, is popularly known for her roles for her role as Christy Huddleston on the period drama 'Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the family drama Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. Other notable roles include her title character in The Hailey Dean Mystery series. Martin was the daughter of a department store seller and a kindergarten teacher began her professional career as an actress at age seven when her aunt who served as the nanny of Michael Landon's children was able to help Martin land a role in 1982 series "Father Murphy". Martin began her professional acting career following her graduation from Yale University. This led to her being offered major roles both in the television and film industries. Martin has also been an artist and photographer. Her sister who passed away due to Lupus at age 19, was the inspiration behind her becoming the Lupus the national spokesperson.
